Viktor Mardusin
Viktor Nikolayevich Mardusin (; born 18 March 1958) is an officer of the Russian Navy. He currently holds the rank of Vice admiral, vice-admiral, and has most recently served as deputy commander of the Western Military District. A native of Bryansk, Mardusin began his service in the Soviet Navy, after attending the P. S. Nakhimov Black Sea Higher Naval School. His early career was spent in the Baltic Fleet, where he served aboard several small missile ships, rising through the ranks and eventually taking command of one of the fleet's elderly destroyers, just prior to her decommissioning. After further studies at the navy's higher educational institutions, Mardusin served as commander of divisions and then brigades of small missile ships, before serving in staff officer positions as commander of a naval base, and as deputy and chief of staff of several of the navy's fleets. Bryansk (, ) is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, city and the administrative center of Bryansk Oblast, Russia, situated on the Desna (river), Desna River, southwest of Moscow. ''Marshal Shaposhnikov'' () is a modernized (Reclassified as Frigate) of the Russian Navy commissioned in 1985. The vessel serves in the Russian Pacific Fleet. Her namesake is Marshal Boris Shaposhnikov. Operational history On 6 April 2003, ''Marshal Shaposhnikov'' left port, along with '' Admiral Panteleyev'' and the navy tanker '' Vladimir Kolechitskiy'', to start a deployment to the Indian Ocean, where exercises with the Indian Navy were planned for May 2003. The ''Udaloy'' class, Soviet designation Project 1155 ''Fregat'' and Russian designation Project 11551 ''Fregat-M'' (, 'Fregat' meaning Frigate), are series of anti-submarine guided-missile destroyers built for the Soviet Navy, seven of which are currently in service with the Russian Navy. Kotlin-class destroyers were Cold War era ships built for the Soviet Navy. The Russian name for this class was Project 56 ''Spokoiny'' (Спокойный, "tranquil"). 27 ships were built between 1955 and 1958; they were all decommissioned in the late 1980s. ''Prozorlivy'' was the third ship of the of the Soviet Navy. Construction and career The ship was built at Zhdanov Shipyard in Leningrad and was launched on 31 July 1955 and commissioned into the Pacific Fleet on 30 June 1958. On December 30, 1958, she entered service, on March 8, 1960, it was included in the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet (KChF). Kildin-class Destroyer
The Kildin-class destroyer was a series of destroyers built for the Soviet Navy in the 1950s. They were a missile armed version of the , and the class was named for Kildin Island. Four ships were built around the KSShch (КСЩ, SS-N-1) anti-ship missile. When this missile became obsolete in the 1960s, three ships were modernised in 1972-1977. All ships were decommissioned in the late 1980s early 1990s. The Soviet designation was Project 56EM for the prototype (''Bedovy''), Project 56M for three series ships, and Project 56U for the modernised ships.
