Moturi Vijaya Shanthi (born 24 June 1966) is an Indian actress, film producer and politician. In a film career spanning 40 years, she has acted in 187 feature films in a variety of roles in various languages predominantly in Telugu films, in addition to Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam films. She is widely referred as the "Lady Superstar", "Lady Amitabh" and "The Action Queen of Telugu Cinema". Vijayashanti holds the record for the most "Industry Hits" in Telugu cinema for a heroine, with five films emerging as the top-grossers of their time—a feat unmatched by any actress in the industry's 100-year history. ''Agni Parvatam'' () is a 1985 Indian Telugu-language film, produced by C. Ashwini Dutt and K. Raghavendra Rao under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Krishna, Radha, Kaikala Satyanarayana and Rao Gopala Rao in the lead roles. ''Neti Bharatam'' is a 1983 film written and directed by T. Krishna and produced by Eetharam Films. Suman (actor), Suman and Vijayashanti played lead roles, with Nagabhushanam and Rajyalakshmi in assisting roles. It is a musical hit film promoting liberal ideals. Lyrics for the songs were written by revolutionary poet Srirangam Srinivasa Rao, Adrushta Deepak, and music scored by K. Chakravarthy. The Filmfare Awards South are annual awards that honour artistic and technical excellence in the Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, Malayalam cinema and Kannada cinema.
