Vierlingsbeek
Vierlingsbeek () is a village in the former municipality of Boxmeer in North Brabant province of the Netherlands. Until it was included in Boxmeer in 1998, it was a municipality of its own. Since 2022 it has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk. The UN/LOCODE is . History Vierlingsbeek developed in the Early Middle Ages on the river bank of the Maas. In 1756, the village was damaged by a large fire, and it developed along the Venraij to Boxmeer road. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1843 after its predecessor from 1804 had partially collapsed in 1839. The clergy house is the former hunting cabin of William I of the Netherlands. The church was decommissioned in 1997, and is used for weddings, concerts and cultural activities. The Catholic St. Laurentius Church was built between 1952 and 1953 after its 1804 predecessor had been destroyed in 1944. Vierlingsbeek was home to 806 people in 1840. Boxmeer
Boxmeer () is a town and former municipality in upper southeastern Netherlands. Boxmeer as a municipality incorporated the former municipality of Beugen en Rijkevoort and that of Vierlingsbeek. One of the population centers of the former municipality is Overloon, where the Overloon War Museum is located. Boxmeer, Cuijk, Grave, Netherlands, Grave, Mill en Sint Hubert, and Sint Anthonis merged into the new municipality of Land van Cuijk on 1 January 2022. Nijmegen ( , ; Nijmeegs: ) is the largest city in the Dutch province of Gelderland and the ninth largest of the Netherlands as a whole. Venray or Venraij (; ) is a municipality and a city in Limburg, the Netherlands. The municipality of Venray consists of 14 towns over an area of , with 43,494 inhabitants as of July 2016. UN/LOCODE, the United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations, is a geographic coding scheme developed and maintained by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). UN/LOCODE assigns codes to locations used in trade and transport with functions such as seaports, rail and road terminals, airports, Postal Exchange Office and border crossing points.
