Victor Wulf
Victor Wulf is a Canadian keyboard player and composer. He is recognized for his solo ambient music project Dilate and as a founding member of sound collage band Vampire Rodents. Biography Victor Wulf was involved in composing music for television since 1977. In June 1989, Wulf and Vahnke founded Vampire Rodents, a project that incorporated elements of industrial rock and sound collage. The duo released three albums: '' War Music'' (1990), ''Premonition'' (1992) and '' Lullaby Land'' (1993). During this time, Wulf was primary influenced by Can, Bernard Herrmann, John Zorn and big band music. Wulf became less involved in the writing process with each album and he decided to leave Vampire Rodents after the release of ''Lullaby Land''. Wulf founded his own ambient music project Dilate in 1995. After being picked up by Cleopatra Records, he released ''Cyclos'' in early 1996. ''Octagon'' was released in 1997. In music, montage (literally "putting together") or sound collage ("gluing together") is a technique where newly branded sound objects or Musical composition, compositions, including songs, are created from collage, also known as Photomontage, montage. This is often done through the use of sampling (music), sampling, while some playable sound collages were produced by gluing together sectors of different vinyl records. Big Band
A big band or jazz orchestra is a type of musical ensemble of jazz music that usually consists of ten or more musicians with four sections: saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section. Big bands originated during the early 1910s and dominated jazz in the early 1940s when swing was most popular. The term "big band" is also used to describe a genre of music, although this was not the only style of music played by big bands. Big bands started as accompaniment for dancing. Re-Constriction Records was a division of Cargo Music based in California. The label was founded in 1992 and headed by Chase, who was previously the Music Director at KCR, a student radio station on the campus of San Diego State University. They specialized in releasing bands belonging to the industrial, aggrotech and EBM genres. After the label folded, Chase went to work for Access Communications where he worked for 14 years doing video game-related public relations, including helping to launch Twitch in 2011. In May 2013, he took a staff job at Twitch overseeing all of their PR efforts. In 2019, he left Twitch and shortly thereafter joined StreamElements. ''Octagon'' is the second studio album by Dilate, released on June 24, 1997 by Hypnotic Records. The album was re-released in 2000 by Hypnotic as the first disc of the ''New Age...Spiritual Healing'' box set. Music Tracks from ''Octagon'' were promoted by Cleopatra Records and released on several various artists compilations. The composition " Shapeshifter" appeared on the compilations '' Area 51: The Roswell Incident'' released in 1997 by Purple Pyramid Records and again in 1999 on '' Ultimate Space Rock'' by Cleopatra. The album's lead track "Octagon" appeared on 1999 compilation '' In to the Mix III'' by Hypnotic Records.
