Vicente Pimentel Jr.
Vicente Pimentel Jr. (March 12, 1947 – December 25, 2018), also known as BB Boy Pimentel or simply BB Pimentel, was a Filipino politician. He served as the governor of Surigao del Sur province for three non-consecutive terms from 2001 until 2010 and again from 2016 until his death in office on December 25, 2018. Pimentel began his professional career in politics as a barangay captain in Tandag, the capital of Surigao del Sur. He served as the mayor of Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, from 1992 until 2001 and again from 2010 to 2016. Pimentel then served as governor of Surigao del Sur from 2016 until his death in 2018. In 2018, Pimentel filed to run for re-election as governor in the forthcoming 2019 Philippine general election in May 2019. Tandag
Tandag, officially the City of Tandag ( Tandaganon/ Surigaonon: ''Siyudad nan Tandag''; Cebuano: ''Dakbayan sa Tandag''; fil, Lungsod ng Tandag), is a 5th class component city and capital of the province of Surigao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 62,669 people. Farming and fishing are the main economic activity for most of the people in Tandag. Chief farm products are rice, corn, and coconut. Livestock and poultry raising are also important sources of income. Tandag has a national secondary airport and a seaport. Johnny Ty Pimentel (born March 29, 1956) is a Filipino politician who is currently serving in the House of Representatives of the Philippines as the representative of Surigao del Sur's 2nd district. He previously served as a deputy speaker of the House from 2019 to 2020. He also served as vice governor of Surigao del Sur from 1995 to 1998 and later governor from 2010 to 2016.
