Vibeke Hastrup
Vibeke Hastrup (born 7 April 1958 in Denmark) is a Danish actress who works in theatre, television and film. She performed in the films ''Babette's Feast'' and ''Dance of the Polar Bears'', and has done numerous voice-overs for animated features such as ''Tarzan'', ''Robots'' and '' Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit''. Biography Hastrup graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in Copenhagen. The following year she debuted at Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen in the comedy ''Goddag, er De min Far?'' (English: ''Hello, are you my Father?)''. She has performed on many of the Copenhagen stages, including in ''Heksejagt'' and ''Parasitterne'' at the Folketeatret as well as ''Play It Again, Sam'' at the Bellevue and Det Danske Theaters. Hastrup debuted on screen in 1982 in Sven Methling's ''Kidnapping''. Five years later she played the role of the young Martina in ''Babette's Feast'' (''Babettes gæstebud''). Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality () is the largest municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Denmark. ''Ved Vejen'' (meaning ''By the Wayside'' or ''At the Roadside'') is a short novel written by the Danish author Herman Bang in 1886. It was originally published in Copenhagen by Det Schubotheske Forlag as part of a collection of four stories entitled ''Stille Eksistenser'' (''Quiet Existences''), centering on women who are subdued or living in isolation. It was first published independently in 1898. An impressionist novel, it relates the story of Katinka, a sensitive but ambitious young woman married to a boisterous and somewhat vulgar station master, Bai. At the time of release in Denmark in 1886, critics from the daily newspapers were generally enthusiastic about ''Ved Vejen''. Svend Poulsen ( – ), also referred to as Svend Poulsen Gønge () was a Danish military commander in the 17th century, serving in the armies of Christian IV, Frederick III, and Christian V. He fought in the Torstenson War, Second Northern War, and the Scanian War, and led the '' snaphane'' militia in guerilla warfare against Sweden in occupied Zealand from 1658 to 1659. He was popularized under the name Gøngehøvdingen () in 1853, when his exploits were fictionalized under that name by Danish author Carit Etlar. The historicity of his aliases has since been disputed.
