Vettelschoß
Vettelschoß is a municipality in the district of Neuwied in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It includes the localities of Kalenborn, Kau, Oberwillscheid, and Willscheid, and forms part of the ''Verbandsgemeinde'' (collective municipality) of Linz am Rhein. The municipality is written with an ß, which may be replaced by ss if not available (Vettelschoss). Vettelschoß's coat of arms was adopted in 1983. Neuwied (district)
Neuwied () is a Districts of Germany, district (''Kreis'') in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Rhein-Sieg, Altenkirchen (district), Altenkirchen, Westerwaldkreis, Mayen-Koblenz, Ahrweiler (district), Ahrweiler. History The district was created in 1816 when the area became part of the Prussian Rhine province. In 1822 the district Linz was merged into the district. The district has a partnership with the Poland, Polish Namysłów County, county Namysłów in Opole Voivodeship; first contacts date to 1998 and the partnership became official in 2000. Linz am Rhein (, ) is a municipality in the district of Neuwied, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the river Rhine near Remagen, approx. 25 km southeast of Bonn and has about 6,000 inhabitants.
