Veterans Inc.
Veterans Inc. (formerly known as The Central Massachusetts Shelter for Homeless Veterans and Massachusetts Veterans Inc.) is a national, non-governmental, and non-profit organization, which was founded in 1990. It has been devoted to the cause of "providing services to veterans in need and their families across New England" by giving shelter to honorably-served veterans who have lost their homes and suffer from other possible disabilities. The organization is headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts. History In 1990, a small "band of brothers", Vietnam veterans, alarmed at seeing their fellow veterans living in alleys and under bridges, incorporated Veterans Inc. Jim McGovern (American Politician)
James Patrick McGovern (born November 20, 1959) is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing since 1997. He is the chair of the House Rules Committee and of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China as well as the co-chair of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district, numbered as the 3rd district from 1997 to 2013, stretches from Worcester to the Pioneer Valley. Born and raised in Worcester, McGovern attended Worcester Academy.
