Veronika Marchenko (archer)
Veronika Serhiyivna Marchenko (; born 3 April 1993) is a Ukrainian competitive archery, archer. She has collected medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, and the European Championships. Career Marchenko rose to prominence on the global archery scene at the 2014 World Indoor Archery Championships, 2014 World Indoor Championships in Nimes, France. There, she and her compatriots Lidiia Sichenikova and Anastasia Pavlova powered past the German women (234–220) on a tactical 14-point advantage to capture the team recurve title (234–220). Marchenko also added the bronze to the trio's career treasury by ousting the neighboring Russia in a high-quality 5–4 shoot-off at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Ki Bo-bae
Ki Bo-bae (; or ; born February 20, 1988) is a South Korean recurve bow, recurve Archery, archer and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She was the winner of the women's team and women's individual events at the 2012 Summer Olympics and of the women's team event again at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she also took bronze in the individual competition. Her tally of four Olympic medals places her among the List of Olympic medalists in archery, most decorated archers in Olympic history. Ki was introduced to archery in primary school and by 2010 was a member of the South Korean national team. Laura Nurmsalu (born 1 June 1994) is an Estonian recurve archer who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Nurmsalu represented her country at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. She competed in the individual recurve event and the team recurve event at the 2015 World Archery Championships in Copenhagen. The women's individual archery event at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held from 5 to 13 August at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The women's team archery event was one of 4 Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics, archery events at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Competition format As with the other archery events, the women's team was a recurve bow, recurve archery event, held under the World Archery-approved 70-meter distance and rules. 12 teams of 3 archers each participated. Competition began with a ranking round, in which each archer shot 72 arrows (this was the same ranking round used for the Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's individual, individual event). The combined scores from the ranking round were used to seed the teams into a single-elimination bracket, with the top 4 teams receiving a bye into the second round (quarterfinals).
