Veronika Fischer
Veronika Fischer, also called Vroni (born 28 July 1951 in Wölfis), is a German singer. Life Fischer was born in the Thuringian municipality of Wölfis (near Gotha). She began to study at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in 1968 with Hanns Petersen. She also appeared with various bands such as the Fred-Herfter-Combo and 1970 with the Stern-Combo Meißen. In 1973 her first LP was released with the group Panta Rhei, which was jazz-oriented, among others Herbert Dreilich, Ed Swillms and Henning Protzmann, who later founded the group Karat (band), Karat. The titles ''Nachts and Blues'' were successful in hit parades like the Beatkiste. Fischer graduated in music studies with the Staatsexamen as a soloist for chanson and Musical theatre, musical. Wölfis
Wölfis is a village and a former Municipalities of Germany, municipality in the district of Gotha (district), Gotha, Thuringia, Germany. Since 1 January 2019, it is part of the town Ohrdruf, Thuringia, Ohrdruf. Geography The village lies in the valley of the stream Schill (formerly Reed Bach) that joins at the northwestern edge of the village with the stream Hopbach (formerly Rotenbach) and forms the border with a military training area in the north. Teldec (Telefunken-Decca Schallplatten GmbH) is a German record label in Hamburg, Germany. Today the label is a property of Warner Music Group. History Teldec was a producer of (first) shellac and (later) vinyl records. The Teldec manufacturing facility was located in Nortorf near Kiel in Germany. The company was founded in 1950 as a co-operation between Telefunken and Decca Records. The name Teldec is the result of taking the first three letters of both labels: Telefunken and Decca. Records manufactured by Teldec mostly were released under the Telefunken or Decca label, but normally these records contained no hint that they were made by Teldec. In 1983, Telefunken and Decca pulled out of Teldec and in 1988 Teldec was sold to Time Warner. The Art Prize of the German Democratic Republic (German: ''Kunstpreis der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik'') was an East German state award bestowed on individuals for contributions in various fields of art. History The Art Prize was annually awarded in recognition of "outstanding creative and interpretive achievements" in visual arts, applied arts, cinema, television, radio and entertainment. It could be conferred to individual recipients or in collective, to groups of no more than six people. The recipients were awarded a silver-coated metal medal, 20 millimeter in diameter, with the inscription ''Kunstpreis''. Beside it, a single grantee would also be entitled to a sum of 6,000 East German Marks, while a collective would get a sum as high as 20,000. The Art Prize was the country's highest honor for artists, and was outranked only by the National Prize of East Germany. Sopot International Song Festival
The Sopot International Song Festival or Sopot Festival (later called ''Sopot Music Festival Grand Prix'', ''Sopot Top of the Top Festival'' from 2012–13 and ''Polsat Sopot Festival'' in 2014) is an annual international song contest held in Sopot, Poland. It is the biggest Polish music festival altogether with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest song contests in Europe. Gisela Steineckert
Gisela Steineckert (born 13 May 1931) is a German writer known for her books and song lyrics. She has also written numerous radio plays and several film scripts. In terms of published output she was particularly prolific before 1989, but her professional career has nevertheless outlasted the German Democratic Republic. A member of the East German arts establishment, she served as national "President of the Entertainment Committee" following the retirement, in 1984, of Siegfried Wagner.
