Vernon Carey Jr.
Vernon A. Carey Jr. (born February 25, 2001) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Karşıyaka Basket of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He finished his high school career at NSU University School as a five-star recruit and among the top-ranked players in the 2019 class. High school career Carey starred for four years at University School of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his freshman season, he averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while leading the Sharks to a 15–9 overall record. Karşıyaka Basket is a Turkish professional basketball team located in Karşıyaka, İzmir, that competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League. It is a section of the multi-sport club Karşıyaka SK. The McDonald's All-American Game is an American all-star basketball game played each year for boys' and girls' high school basketball graduates. Consisting of the top players, each team plays a single exhibition game after the conclusion of the high-school basketball season, in an East vs. West format.
