Verisheh Moradi
Verisheh Moradi (also transliterated as Wirishe Moradi or Warisha Moradi; , ) is a Kurdish political prisoner and women's rights activist sentenced to death by the state of Iran. She was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj on 1 August 2023 and imprisoned in Evin Prison in Tehran. In February 2024, Moradi was formally charged with "baghi", armed rebellion against the state, due to her association with Kurdish opposition groups. In November 2024, Branch Fifteen of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran sentenced Moradi to death. Before arrest In 2014, Moradi was injured in an armed conflict between IS armed groups and Kurdish armed groups in the Kurdish-majority town of Kobani, located in Syria. Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i (, ; born 29 September 1956) is an Iranian Iranian Principlists, conservative politician, Faqīh, Islamic jurist and prosecutor who currently serves as Chief Justice of Iran. He was Ministry of Intelligence and National Security (Iran), the minister of intelligence from 2005 to July 2009, when he was abruptly dismissed. He has also held a number of governmental posts since 1984. Early life and education Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i was born in Ezhiyeh, Isfahan Province, Isfahan, Pahlavi dynasty, Imperial State of Iran, in 1956. He is a graduate of Haqqani School, the Haqqani school in Qom and one of his teachers was Mesbah Yazdi. He also received a master's degree in international law from the Haqqani school. Mehrangiz Kar
Mehrangiz Kar (; born 10 October 1944 Ahvaz, Iran), a human rights lawyer from Iran, is an internationally recognized writer, speaker and activist who advocates for the defense of women’s and human rights in Iran and throughout the Islamic world. A common theme in her work is the tension between Iranian law and the core principles of human rights and human dignity. She is also author of the book ''Crossing the Red Line'', and an activist of women's rights in Iran. Born in 1944 at Ahvaz, in southern Iran, she attended the College of Law and Political Science at Teheran University. After graduating, she worked for Sazman-e Ta’min-e Ejtemaii (Institute of Social Security) and published over 100 articles on social and political issues.
