Charles Broke Vere
Major-General Sir Charles Broke Vere (21 February 1779 – 1 April 1843), ''Given name#Name at birth, né'' Broke, was a British soldier and Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament. Life He was the son of Philip Bowes Broke and the younger brother of Rear-Admiral Philip Broke, Sir Philip Broke, 1st Baronet. After service during the Battle of Castricum, Broke fought under the Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, Duke of Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars and later rose to the rank of Major-General. For his gallantry at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 he was awarded the Russian Order of St. Vladimir and the Dutch Order of Wilhelm. In 1822 he took the surname of Vere in addition to Broke. Vere Lorrimer (8 June 1920 – 1 October 1998) was a British television producer and director. The Gwèri or Vere language Were also known as Kobo or Mom Jango, is a member of the Duru branch of Savanna languages. It is spoken across the northern Nigerian–Cameroonian border. Names Vere is a cultural and geographical cover term that may include several completely distinct language varieties. The Kobo (in three villages north of the Chamba Leko area) are the only group of people known as ''Vere'' in Cameroon. Kobo is spoken in Béka commune, Faro department, North Region. Fair Island, also called Vere Island, is a former community on the northeast coast of the island of Newfoundland. Together with other nearby communities it comprises an area called Bonavista North. These communities have a shared history in that they were settled by people from England, predominantly from the West Country - Dorset, Devon Somerset and Hampshire. Geography On the northeast coast of Newfoundland in Bonavista Bay, just east of Centreville, lie a group of islands close to the shore line called Fair Islands. The dome-shaped islands are separated by a narrow channel called the Fair Island Tickle. Vere (river)
The Vere ( ka, ვერე) is a river in eastern Georgia, originating in the eastern slopes of the Trialeti Range, near Mount Didgori, and flowing into the Mtkvari (Kura) as its right tributary in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The Vere river valley from Tbilisi to the townlet of Manglisi is populated by a continuous chain of settlements such as Bagebi, Akhaldaba, Tskneti, Betania and Tsveri. A portion of the Vere river in Tbilisi flows in a set of corrugated steel tunnels under the Varaziskhevi–Tamarashvili Street motorway constructed from 2009 to 2010. The long Vera has a basin area of . The river is fed by snow melt, rain, and underground springs. Arthur Vere Harvey, Baron Harvey of Prestbury, (31 January 1906 – 5 April 1994) was a senior Royal Air Force officer and a British Conservative politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for 26 years. William Vere Cruess
William Vere Cruess (August 9, 1886 – March 13, 1968) was an American food scientist who pioneered the use of fruits to produce fruit-juice beverages, fruit-based concentrates and syrups. He was one of the first investigators in the United States to use freezing storage for preservation of fruits and fruit products. Cruess's research also proved beneficial in the rebirth of the wine industry in California after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933.
