Veneto 2 (Chamber Of Deputies Constituency)
Veneto 2 is one of the 29 constituencies ( it, circoscrizioni) represented in the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Italian parliament. The constituency currently elects 30 deputies. Its boundaries correspond to those of the provinces of Padova, Rovigo, Verona and Vicenza, within the Veneto region. The electoral system uses a parallel voting system, which act as a mixed system, with 37% of seats allocated using a first-past-the-post electoral system and 61% using a proportional method, with one round of voting. The Chamber of Deputies ( it, Camera dei deputati) is the lower house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Senate of the Republic). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. The Chamber of Deputies has 400 seats, of which 392 will be elected from Italian constituencies, and 8 from Italian citizens living abroad. The centre-right coalition ( it, coalizione di centro-destra) is an alliance of political parties in Italy, active—under several forms and names—since 1994, when Silvio Berlusconi entered politics and formed his Forza Italia party. Us with Italy ( it, Noi con l'Italia, NcI) is a liberal-conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Italy. NcI started as a federation of minor centre-right parties and, as such, was part of the centre-right coalition in the 2018 general election. Along with Forza Italia, NcI represented the coalition's " centrist" wing and supported Silvio Berlusconi or another "centrist" candidate as Prime Minister.
