Hunting is the human practice of seeking, pursuing, capturing, and killing wildlife or feral animals. List Of Roman Gladiator Types
There were many different types of gladiators in ancient Rome. Some of the first gladiators had been prisoner of war, prisoners-of-war, and so some of the earliest types of gladiators were experienced fighters; Gauls, Samnites, and ''Thraeces'' (Thracians) used their native weapons and armor. Different gladiator types specialized in specific weapons and fighting techniques. Combatants were usually pitted against opponents with different, but more or less equivalent equipment, for the sake of a fair and balanced contest. Most gladiators only fought others from within the same school or ''ludus'', but sometimes specific gladiators could be requested to fight one from another ''ludus''. Niccolò Cacciatore
Niccolò Cacciatore (; 26 January 1770 – 28 January 1841) was an Italian astronomer. Cacciatore was born at Casteltermini, in Sicily. While studying mathematics and physics in Palermo, he became acquainted with Giuseppe Piazzi, head of the Palermo Astronomical Observatory, and became a graduate student assistant at the observatory in 1798. Two years later, in 1800, the year before Piazzi discovered Ceres (dwarf planet), Ceres, Cacciatore was formally put on staff. Cacciatore helped Piazzi compile the second edition of the Palermo Star Catalogue (1814). He did the bulk of the work, in fact heading the project starting in 1807. He also published works on the comets of 1807 and 1819. Cacciatore succeeded Piazzi as director of the Palermo Observatory in 1817. Venator, Oregon
Venator is an unincorporated community in Harney County, Oregon, United States. It is on Crane–Venator Road about southeast of Crane, near the South Fork Malheur River. Alphena Venator, a native of Linn County, settled in Harney County as a youth in 1872. Alphena's father Jezreel is the namesake for Venator Canyon in Harney and Malheur counties. When Alphena established a livestock ranch in the area in 1884, the locale soon became known as "Venator". Venator post office was established in 1895, with Louella Venator as the first postmaster. The office was later moved two and a half miles north to a station on the now-abandoned Oregon Eastern Branch (or Burns Branch) of the Union Pacific railroad.
