Velocity (character)
Velocity (real name Carin Taylor) is an Image Comics/Top Cow Productions character from the comic series ''Cyberforce'', created by Marc Silvestri in 1992. Most of the early story arcs focused on her burgeoning friendship with the members of the Cyberforce team, and her struggle through teenage development. She is the younger sister of Ballistic. Publication history After ''Cyberforce'', Velocity was one of two winning one-shots in the first year of the Top Cow Pilot Season (2007), in a story written by Joe Casey with art by Kevin Maguire. Winning meant the character would get their own title, and it was announced that Casey would return and ChrisCross would provide the art. However, this team never completed an issue and the project was shelved until 2010. ShadowHawk is a superhero created by Jim Valentino for Image Comics. He was first advertised in the ''Malibu Sun'' free promotional magazine in May 1992. His official Image Comics debut was in the second issue of '' Youngblood'' series (June 1992), written and illustrated by Rob Liefeld. Originally, the name ShadowHawk was to be used for the Marvel character Starhawk while he had darkness powers, but Tom DeFalco convinced Valentino to use the name for a new character instead. Kevlar
Kevlar (para-aramid) is a strong, heat-resistant synthetic fiber, related to other aramids such as Nomex and Technora. Developed by Stephanie Kwolek at DuPont in 1965, the high-strength material was first used commercially in the early 1970s as a replacement for steel in racing tires. It is typically spun into ropes or fabric sheets that can be used as such, or as an ingredient in composite material components.
