Veliko Gradište
Veliko Gradište ( sr-cyr, Велико Градиште, ; ) is a town and municipality located in the Braničevo District of eastern Serbia. It is located on the right bank of the Danube River and left bank of the Pek River. In 2022, the town had a total population of 5,518 and the municipality had a population of 15,455. Name The name means 'large medieval fortified settlement' in Serbian. Names in other languages: . History Thracians and Dacians lived in the region prior to the Roman conquering of the Balkans in the 1st century BC, when the town was known as "Pincum", in the province of Upper Moesia. The Trojan War was a legendary conflict in Greek mythology that took place around the twelfth or thirteenth century BC. Ritopek
Ritopek (Serbian Cyrillic: Ритопек, ) is a suburban settlement of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in the municipality of Grocka, 20 km east of Belgrade and 19 km west of the municipal seat, on the right bank of the Danube, across from the village of Ivanovo in Banat region of the Vojvodina province. In Greek mythology, Hector (; , ) was a Trojan prince, a hero and the greatest warrior for Troy during the Trojan War. In Greek mythology, Achilles ( ) or Achilleus () was a hero of the Trojan War who was known as being the greatest of all the Greek warriors.
