Velence is a town in the county of Fejér, Hungary, on the shore of Lake Velence. Hungary has 3,152 Municipality, municipalities as of July 15, 2013: 346 towns (Hungarian term: , plural: ; the terminology does not distinguish between city, cities and towns – the term town is used in official translations) and 2,806 villages (Hungarian: , plural: ) of which 126 are classified as large villages (Hungarian: , plural: ). M7 Motorway (Hungary)
The M7 motorway () is a Hungary, Hungarian motorway which runs from Budapest towards the Croatian border at Letenye, reaching Székesfehérvár, then Siófok, a town on Lake Balaton, and the city of Nagykanizsa in the southwest of the country. The motorway connects with the Croatian motorway A4 (Croatia), A4 at Goričan and forms part of the Pan-European corridor Vb, connecting Budapest with Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and Rijeka, the Port of Rijeka, largest Croatian seaport. Since the completion of the M7 it is possible to travel on motorway from Budapest to the Adriatic Sea, a popular tourist destination for Hungarians. The last portion of the motorway to the Croatian border, including the Zrinski Bridge on the Mura River, river Mura, was completed on 22 October 2008. Péter Kun (October 29, 1967 – July 10, 1993) was a Hungarian hard rock guitarist. He played for rock bands such as Pokolgép and Edda művek. He died in a motorcycle accident in 1993; he was 26 years old. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished young guitarists of his time. He has a daughter, Petra Kun. Klára Somogyi
Klára Hensch (, ; 1913–1996) was a Hungarian tennis player in the World War II era. She represented Hungary in many international team matches. She reached the quarterfinal of the Wimbledon doubles event in 1939. Early life and family Somogyi was born in 1913 in Arad. Her great-great-grandfather was cavalry captain in the Anglo-German legion of the Napoleonic Wars. Her great-grandfather József Somogyi (1807–1872) was a Honvéd Major from Marosvásárhely who fought in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. Her father was Jenő Somogyi, an architect, who designed the Traian bridge in Arad. She fell in love with tennis at the age of fifteen. She studied in a German school in Sibiu (''Szeben''). At the age of seventeen she finished third in the second class mixed doubles at Cluj. Meanwhile, the Treaty of Trianon had transferred her region from Hungary to Romania, and she had to move to Budapest in 1938 to further compete for Hungary. Alajos Hauszmann (also called as ''Alois'', June 9, 1847 – July 31, 1926), from 1918 Hauszmann de Velencze, was a Kingdom of Hungary, Hungarian architect, professor, and member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Lake Velence ( ; ), an endorheic basin, is the third largest natural lake in Hungary. It is a popular holiday destination among Hungarians. The lake has an area of 26 km2, one third of which is covered by Phragmites, the common reed. Because of the sunny climate of the area and the shallowness of the lake, it is one of the warmest lakes in Europe: its temperature in the summer may reach 26 to 28 °C.
