Veldhuizen
Veldhuizen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of Utrecht, south of De Meern. It is also the name of a new neighbourhood of Utrecht, built close to the hamlet. Veldhuizen was a separate municipality between 1818 and 1954, when it became a part of Vleuten-De Meern Vleuten-De Meern is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. De Meern
De Meern () is an urbanized village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Utrecht, and is located at 6 km west of the inner city of this town. Before 2001 the villages De Meern, Vleuten and Haarzuilens formed a municipality called Vleuten-De Meern. On 1 January 2001, it was incorporated in the municipality of Utrecht. Since 1999 the number of inhabitants of De Meern has increased from about 11,000 to almost 22,000 in 2020. History De Meern lies in the region of a disappeared branch of the river Rhine.
