Veerapandiyan
''Veerapandiyan'' () is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language masala film, directed by Karthik Raghunath and produced by Durai. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Vijayakanth, Radhika and Jaishankar. It was released on 14 April 1987. Plot Ranjith devises a plan to steal the temple jewels worth Rs. 2 crore in the town of Manimangalam, collaborating with Nanjappa, a local resident and the temple's dharmakartha. The jewels are stored in the collectorate and only brought to the temple during the Chithra Pournami, after which they are returned to government custody. Pandiyan "Pandi", the village president, resides with his sister Meenatchi "Meena". He was previously engaged to Gowri but called off the wedding upon learning that his horoscope predicted his wife would die prematurely. Anuradha (actress)
Anuradha (born Sulochana Devi) is an Indian film and television actress. She was mainly active in the 1980s and 1990s. She was known for her item numbers. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Oriya-language films. Career Sulochana was introduced to the film industry by director K. G. George at the age of 13. Kallapetti Singaram was an Indian actor who acted in over 100 Tamil films from the 1966 to 1990. He primarily played comedic characters, mostly in minor roles in films directed by K. Bhagyaraj. Vijayakanth
Vijayaraj Alagarswami (25 August 1952 – 28 December 2023), known by his stage name Vijayakanth, was an Indian actor, filmmaker, philanthropist and politician. He worked in Tamil cinema in a career spanning four decades. He ventured into politics in the later part of his career and founded his own party Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam. Vijayakanth acted in Vijayakanth filmography, over 150 films in his career. Ennatha Kannaiya
Ennathe Kannaiah (1925 - 7 August 2012) was a comedian who appeared in Tamil-language films. In the Ravichandran-Jayalalita starrer Naan, as he spoke his dialogues, he frequently used the word "Ennathe" () and this became his nickname. Decades later, he became even better known for his dialogue, "Varuum... Aanaa Varaadhu" (). Film career After debuting in the Tamil film Ezhai Padum Padu in 1950, he acted in more than 250 films. He predominantly was cast in supporting roles in films of M.G.Ramachandran like Nam Naadu (1969), En Annan (1970), '' Thedi Vandha Mappillai'' (1970) and others. Sumithra (actress)
Sumithra (born 18 September 1953) is an Indian actress. She has appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu language films. She acted as the lead heroine in films between 1974 and 1985. She became well known for her roles as a mother the 1990s onwards. Early life Sumithra was born to Raghavan Nair and Janaki at Thrissur, Kerala. She has three brothers, her father was working in an oil refining company. When she was doing her schooling, she learnt dance from Murugappan Master, who was the guide to actress K. R. Thirupparaithurai Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (29October 193118July 2013) was an Indian poet who has the record for writing the most songs in Tamil cinema. He is also recognised for a five-decade long association in the Tamil film industry and has written over 15,000 songs. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence.
