Don (river)
The Don () is the List of rivers of Europe#Rivers of Europe by length, fifth-longest river in Europe. Flowing from Central Russia to the Sea of Azov in Southern Russia, it is one of List of rivers of Russia, Russia's largest rivers and played an important role for traders from the Byzantine Empire. Semiluki
Semiluki () is a town and the administrative center of Semiluksky District in Voronezh Oblast, Russia, located on the Don River. Population Paleontology In the spring of 1984, on the right bank of the Veduga River, 4 km north of Semiluki, students of the Geological Faculty of Voronezh State University found an incomplete sketeton of ichthyosaur during their field work. Remains, including bones of skull, a fragmentary coracoid, limbs, incomplete vertebral column and ribs, were collected from the glauconitic–quartz sand, whose age is set in the range from Albian to Cenomanian (Cretaceous). In 2008, this animal was named '' Platypterygius ochevi'', after the paleozoologist and professor Vitalii Ochev. A drainage basin is an area of land in which all flowing surface water converges to a single point, such as a river mouth, or flows into another body of water, such as a lake or ocean. A basin is separated from adjacent basins by a perimeter, the drainage divide, made up of a succession of elevated features, such as ridges and hills.
