Vedan (rapper)
Hirandas Murali (born 25 October 1994), known professionally as Vedan, is an Indian rapper and songwriter from Kerala, India. He is best known for his tracks, "Kuthanthram" (from " ''Manjummel Boys''"), "Kondal Vedan Song" (from "Kondal"), "La Vida", "Muana Loa", and "Voice of Voiceless". His songs often address themes of caste, class, and resistance, and spans both independent releases and contributions to Malayalam cinema. Personal life Vedan was born in Thrissur, Kerala. His mother is an Eelam Tamil from Jaffna, Sri Lanka, who later migrated to Ooty, Tamil Nadu, during the Eelam War. She was granted asylum by India and subsequently given Indian citizenship by Government of India. Vedan's father, Murali, belongs to the Panaya community and is a Malayali native of Thrissur, Kerala. Sushin Shyam is an Indian music composer, instrumentalist, and singer primarily associated with Malayalam cinema. He is also a founding member of the folk metal band The Down Troddence. Alan Kurdi (born Alan Shenu), initially reported as Aylan Kurdi, was a two-year-old Syrian boy (initially reported as having been three years old) of Kurdish ethnic background whose image made global headlines after he drowned on 2 September 2015 in the Mediterranean Sea along with his mother and brother.
