Vebjørn Sørum
Vebjørn Sørum (born 11 August 1998) is a Norwegian biathlete. He has competed in the Biathlon World Cup since 2023. Career Vebjørn Sørum began his international career in 2017 at the Junior World Championships in Brezno. After finishing 39th in the individual event, 27th in the sprint, and making a remarkable comeback in the pursuit (8th place), he won the world title in the young men's relay, alongside Jorgen Krogsaeter and Sivert Guttorm Bakken. He was absent from the international competition the following season and made his IBU Cup debut in 2018, finishing 40th in the sprint in Idre. A few weeks later, he stepped onto his first podium after the mixed relay (with Karoline Knotten, Eline Grue, and Frederik Gjesbakk, securing third place). Sturla Holm Lægreid (born 20 February 1997) is a Norwegian biathlete. In the season opener of the 2020–2021 season, he earned his first World Cup win at the 20 km Individual. Johannes Thingnes Bø (born 16 May 1993) is a former Norwegians, Norwegian Biathlon, biathlete who has achieved significant success in the sport. Tarjei Bø
Tarjei Bø (born 29 July 1988) is a former Norwegian professional biathlete. Awarded Olympic gold medals, World Championship gold medals and World Cup victories from 2010 to 2025. Bø debuted in the Biathlon World Cup on 26 March 2009 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. In the 2010 Winter Olympics, he earned his first gold medal in the 4 × 7.5 km biathlon relay. On 10 December 2010 he won the World Cup sprint race in Hochfilzen, his first world cup victory. He also won the following pursuit race and anchored the winning relay team. The 2022–23 Biathlon IBU Cup was a multi-race tournament over a season of biathlon, organised by the IBU. It is the second-rank competition in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. Erlend Øvereng Bjøntegaard (born 30 July 1990) is a retired Norwegian biathlete. He has competed in the Biathlon World Cup, and represented Norway at the Biathlon World Championships 2016. Karoline Erdal (born 15 November 1997) is a Norwegian biathlete. Two-time junior biathlon world champion and two-time European biathlon champion. Made her debut in the World Cup in 2016. Achieved victory in 13 races at the IBU Cup. Career Erdal made her debut in the World Cup during the 2016/17 season at the stage in Ostersund, finishing 82nd in the individual race. Maren Hjelmeset Kirkeeide (born 3 March 2003) is a Norwegian biathlete. She has competed in the Biathlon World Cup since 2023. She won gold medal in the individual race at the 2024 IBU Open European Championships. The 2021–22 Biathlon IBU Cup was a multi-race tournament over a season of biathlon, organised by the IBU. IBU Cup is the second-rank competition in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. The season started on 25 November 2021 in Idre, Sweden and ended on 13 March 2022 in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna, Italy. The defending overall champions from the 2020–21 Biathlon IBU Cup were Filip Fjeld Andersen from Norway and Vanessa Voigt from Germany. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian biathletes are only allowed to compete under a neutral flag since the competition in Kontiolahti. Their performances are not included in the previous classifications of their countries. Previously, the Ukrainian national team announced the withdrawal from the biathlon competition by the end of the season. Simon Schempp (born 14 November 1988) is a German former biathlete. Career In 2009, he made his World Cup debut. He became world champion by winning gold in the 15 km mass start race at the Biathlon World Championships 2017 in Hochfilzen. He also won three more gold medals, two for being part of the German Biathlon World Championships 2010 mixed relay team in Khanty-Mansiysk and the German Biathlon World Championships 2017 mixed relay team in Hochfilzen, and one gold medal as part of the German Biathlon World Championships 2015 men's relay team in Kontiolahti. Martell, South Tyrol
Martell (; ) is a valley and ''comune'' (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is located in the Martell Valley of the long river Plima, about west of Bolzano.
