Veberöds AIF is a Swedish football club located in Veberöd in Lund Municipality, Skåne County. Background Veberöds Allmänna Idrottsförening were founded in 1929 with the main focus of the sports club being football. A main highlight for the club was playing in Division 2 Södra Götaland for the first time in 1993 and defeating Trelleborgs FF and IFK Göteborg in the Svenska Cupen. The 2013 season was the 116th season of competitive football in Sweden. The competitive year started with the group stage of Svenska Cupen on 2 March. League competition started in early April with Allsvenskan on 31 March, Superettan on 6 April, Division 1 and lower men's leagues plus the Damallsvenskan on 13 April. Svenska Cupen ended with the final played at the national stadium Friends Arena on 26 May. Allsvenskan ended on 3 November, Superettan one day earlier on 2 November, Division 1 and lower men's leagues on 26 October and Damallsvenskan on 20 October. Qualification play-offs were held after the end of league play with the Allsvenskan play-offs being held on 7 and 10 November and the Superettan play-offs being held on 6 and 9 November. Lund Municipality
Lund Municipality () is a municipality in Scania County, southern Sweden. Its seat is the city of Lund. As most municipalities in Sweden, the territory of municipality consists of many former local government units, united in a series of amalgamations. The number of original entities (as of 1863) is 22. At the time of the nationwide municipal reform of 1952 the number had been reduced to six. In 1967 the rural municipality ''Torn'' (itself created in 1952) was added to Lund. Svenska cupen (, ), also known as the Swedish Cup in English, is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. ''Svenska cupen'' usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system.
