Vaveyla
''Vaveyla'' (''Squall'') is the fifth studio album by Turkish singer Sıla. It was released by Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Records on 9 October 2012. Release and content ''Vaveyla'' was released with two different versions and contains 13 songs in total. Unlike Sıla's previous albums, only live instruments are used in this album. ''Vaveyla'' was recorded in Babajim studios, and Tom Coyne did its audio mastering. All of the string records in the album were performed by Bratislava Symphony Orchestra. Yeni Ay
''Yeni Ay'' (''New Moon'') is the fifth studio album by Turkish singer Sıla. It was released by Sony Music Entertainment and Columbia Records on 18 February 2014. After "using dark and introspective themes" in her fourth studio album ''Vaveyla'' (2012), Sıla started working on ''Yeni Ay'' "at a time of feeling well". She wrote all of the songs by herself and composed them together with Efe Bahadır. She also produced the album together with Bahadır. İskender Paydaş, Can Baydar, Bedük and Fatih Ahıskalı also worked on the album. The recording of the album began in late 2013 and continued until early 2014. The album was recorded in Istanbul at Babajim Studios and in Athens at Sierra Studios. A pop album, ''Yeni Ay'' was released in two separate discs. The second disc has 11 songs in total: ten songs plus a remix of the song "Yabancı". The second disc features demos of the songs that appear on the first disc. Sıla (singer)
Sıla Gençoğlu (born 17 June 1980) is a Turkish singer-songwriter. She was born in Acıpayam, Denizli Province, Denizli, and later moved to İzmir and then to Istanbul to finish her studies. She started to learn performing arts at high school. After studying jazz at Istanbul Bilgi University, she became a backing vocalist for Kenan Doğulu. Sıla released her Sıla (album), self-titled debut album in 2007. The song "...Dan Sonra" became a number-one hit on Türkçe Top 20, and after critical and commercial success she released the albums ''İmza'' (2009), ''Konuşmadığımız Şeyler Var'' (2010), ''Vaveyla'' (2012), ''Yeni Ay'' (2014) and ''Mürekkep'' (2016) all of which were praised by fans and critics alike. Mastering is a form of audio post production which is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device called a master recording, the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years, digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering.
