Vava Suresh
Vava Suresh (born 1974) is an Indian wildlife conservationist and a snake expert. He is known for his mission of saving snakes that have strayed into human-inhabited areas in Kerala, India. He has captured 200 (as of November 2020) King cobras, and is believed to have captured and rescued more than 38,000 straying snakes. He hosts a snake capturing programme called "Snake Master" on Kaumudy TV. Throughout his work, he has survived many venomous snakebites, some of which caused him to be hospitalized, and placed on a ventilator or treated in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU. He is the first person in the world who conducted a snake awareness class. He is the first person to ever conduct snake awareness class in schools with live snakes. Kerala Snakebite Murder
Kerala snakebite culpable homicide was a case in which the victim, Uthra, a twenty-five-year-old woman, was killed by a snakebite inflicted while she was asleep on 7 May 2020. She was in her parents' home in Anchal, located in the South Indian state of Kerala. Her husband, Sooraj S. Kumar, a twenty-seven-year-old bank employee, was arrested. Later, he confessed to the public media that he purchased a cobra, and introduced the snake into their bedroom, with the intention of killing his wife. Kerala Police produced strong scientific evidence that supported a charge of murder. In Kollam sessions court, on 13 October 2021, Sooraj S. Kumar was found guilty of killing his wife by forcing a live cobra to bite her. Judge M. Government Medical College, Kottayam is a government medical college in Kerala, India. The campus is about north of Kottayam in Gandhinagar-Arpookkara area in Central Kerala. History The college started functioning in December 1962 as the third government-run medical college in Kerala. The college which initially functioned in the District Hospital, Kottayam from 1962 to 1970 was shifted to Arpookara in April 1970.
