The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seven. The area of Vasylkivka Raion was merged into Synelnykove Raion. Until 26 January 2024, Vasylkivka was designated urban-type settlement. Vasylkivka Raion () was a Raions of Ukraine, raion (district) of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, southeastern-central Ukraine. Its administrative centre was located at the urban-type settlement of Vasylkivka. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seven. The area of Vasylkivka Raion was merged into Synelnykove Raion. The last estimate of the raion population was . In the 26 October 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary election Dmytro Yarosh as a Right Sector candidate won a parliament seat (the only one for Right Sector) by winning single-member districts number 39 ("Vasylkivka") located in Vasylkivka Raion and neighbouring raions with 29.76% of the votes.

Synelnykove Raion () is a Raions of Ukraine, raion (district) of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, southeastern-central Ukraine. Its administrative centre is located at Synelnykove. Pokrovske (urban-type Settlement)
Pokrovske () is a rural settlement in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, east-central Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Pokrovske settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: History Pokrovske was first mentioned in historical documents in 1779. The settlement of Pokrovske got status of urban-type settlement in 1957. Highway M04 (Ukraine)
Highway M04 was a Ukrainian international highway connecting Znamianka to Sorokyne on the border with Russia, where it continued into Russia as the A260.
