Vasvaas
''Vasvaas'' is a four-part Maldivian horror children's short film series produced by Yoosuf Shafeeu, Hussain Nooradeen and Hassan Adam under Eupe Productions. The first installment of the series, written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu was released in 2006 and continued as the writer and director for other installments too. The second installment, begins fifty years later from the events of the first part and the story was continued for further two installments. Filming for the second to fourth installment was completed in Kelaa. Several actors, including Fathimath Fareela and Shaahid filmed for significant roles for the film though the series was discontinued after the fourth installment. Aishath Rasheedha
Aishath Rasheedha was a Maldivian film actor and a businesswoman. She was commonly known for her comic roles in advertisements and Yoosuf Rafeeu's comedy drama series ''Dhiriulhumakee Meebaa?''. Career As an actor Rasheedha is most prominently known for her comic roles in Yoosuf Rafeeu's television comedy series ''Dhiriulhumakee Meeba?'' in which she appeared in several episodes of the series throughout its run. In 2006, she collaborated with Abdul Faththaah for his romantic drama series '' Hinithun Velaashey Kalaa'' in which she played the role of a gentle and caring mother yearning the love of her son. Mariyam Shahuza
Mariyam Shahuza is a Maldivian former film actress. Career In 2002, Shahuza appeared in a small role as a doctor in Amjad Ibrahim-directed film '' Kahvalhah Dhaandhen'' (2002). Having disappeared from the screen for almost four years, she made a comeback as a gossip loving friend in the horror film '' Hukuru Vileyrey'' (2006), co-directed by Aishath Rishmy and Aminath Rasheedha which was based on a novel published by Ibrahim Waheed on ''Haveeru Daily'' in 2003. The film being a critical and commercial success was considered as "one of the best horror film the Maldivian Film Industry has ever produced". Hussain Munawwar
Hussain Munawwar (born 5 February 1998), commonly known as Kuda Foolhu is a Maldivian film director, cinematographer, producer and actor. Career In 2006, Munawwar starred as the character Kudafoolhu, a manipulative devil under the strict instructions of his master, in the first installment of Yoosuf Shafeeu-directed short film series, '' Vasvaas'' which proved to be a breakthrough for him with his humorous and child-friendly act. Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. In 2003, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. Ahmed Ziya (born 4 February 1981) is a Maldivian film actor, editor and director. Career In 2002, Ziya played the love interest of an ill-treated outsider in Abdul Faththaah's '' Fahu Fiyavalhu''. Hussain Nooradeen Nasir (3 April 1969) is a Maldivian film producer and actor. Career Nooradeen initially appeared in small roles in films like ''Himeyn Dhuniye'' (2000) and office drama ''Hulhukolhu'' (2000), before expanding his career as a producer with studio albums including ''Boduraalhu'' (2001). Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. Abdulla Muaz is a Maldivian film actor, editor and directors and officers and Career Muaz made a brief appearance in Yoosuf Shafeeu directed horror film ''Edhathuru'' (2004) which revolves around eight friends who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. Fathimath Fareela (24 October 1984) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Fareela made her film debut in Ahmed Nimal's romantic film ''Vaaloabi Engeynama'' (2006), starred alongside Yoosuf Shafeeu, Mariyam Afeefa and Fauziyya Hassan which was a critical and commercial success, considered to be the most successful Maldivian release of the year.
