Vanina Paula Oneto (born June 15, 1973, in San Fernando) is a retired field hockey player from Argentina, who won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens with the national team. Vanina also won the 2002 World Cup, the 2001 Champions Trophy, three Pan American Games and the Pan American Cup in 2001. Field Hockey
Field hockey (or simply referred to as hockey in some countries where ice hockey is not popular) is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with 11 players in total, made up of 10 field players and a goalkeeper. Women's Pan American Cup
The Women's Pan American Cup is a women's international field hockey tournament organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. The winning team becomes the champion of the Americas and qualifies for the FIH Hockey World Cup. Argentina are the defending champions, winning the 2022 edition. Argentina are also the only team to have won the tournament, winning every edition so far. Club San Fernando is an Argentine multi-sports club based in San Fernando, Buenos Aires.
