Vangjel Çërrava (born 1941) is an Albanian politician of the Albanian Party of Labour (PPSh). He was member of the Albanian Parliament, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Albania, and for a short time member of the Politburo of the Party. Biography Çërrava, who initially carried over functions in the economic sector, became in 1978 a representative in the People's Assembly (Alb: ''Kuvendi Popullor''). He remained on this function during the ninth to the eleventh legislative terms which ended in 1991 with the fall of communism in Albania. Vangjel Koça (1900–1943) journalist, an Albanian ideologue of fascism, translator, publisher in the interwar period, better known with his nom de plume Vangjo Nirvana. Along with Ismet Toto, Branko Merxhani, Nebil Çika etc., he was one of the main representatives of the Neo-Albanianism (neo-shqiptarizma) school of thought in the 1930s. He was born in Gjirokastër. He was a translator of Epictetus, Lucian and Descartes, and wrote articles under the playful pen name Vangjo Nirvana. Vangjel Meksi (1770–1823) was an Albanians, Albanian physician, writer, and translator. One-time personal physician to Ali Pasha of Yanina, Ali Pasha, the 19th-century Albanian ruler of the Pashalik of Yanina, Meksi produced the first translation of the New Testament into Albanian language, Albanian with the help and sponsorship of the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS). Meksi did not live to see his work's publication however, which was supervised by Gregory IV of Athens. Vangjel Tavo (; 17 December 1969) is an Albanian politician who was elected mayor of Himarë on the repeat elections on 4 August 2024; he was sworn in on 30 September 2024. Tavo was member of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania for the Socialist Movement for Integration and served as the Minister of Health from 2012 to 2013, replacing Petrit Vasili.
