Vangelis Alexandris
Evangelos "Vangelis" Alexandris (; born February 2, 1951) is a Greek former international basketball player and coach. With a height of 1.82 meters, he played as a point guard and was nicknamed "''The Tiger ''" due to his dynamic playing style. He is a notable figure of Greek basketball, who has won domestic and European honours at club level. His long-term presence and contribution to the sport exceeds 50 years. During his head coaching career, Alexandris won two European-wide club competitions, the FIBA Saporta Cup in the 2000–01 season and the FIBA Europe Champions Cup in the 2002–03 season. Iraklis B.C. is a Greek professional basketball club based in the city of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece. Created in 1921, it serves as the professional men's basketball department of the multi–sport club of G.S. Iraklis Thessalonikis. The club's colors are blue and white, inspired by the flag of Greece. The FIBA U18 EuroBasket is the new name for the FIBA U18 European Championship, originally known as the FIBA European Championship for Juniors. The HEBA Greek All-Star Game, also known as the EKO Greek All-Star Game for sponsorship reasons, was the All-Star Game of the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA) (Greek: ΕΣΑΚΕ) professional men's basketball competition.
