Vance Albitz
Vance Philip Albitz (born January 31, 1988) is an American professional baseball player who was an infielder for the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels for five seasons. He played college baseball for the University of California, San Diego. Amateur career High school Albitz played baseball all four years at South High School in Torrance, California. He was a two-time all-state selection for baseball and a three-year letterman on the basketball team. Albitz was voted South High School's "Athlete of the Year" in 2005 and 2006. The Salt Lake Bees are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Batavia is a city in and the county seat of Genesee County, New York, United States. It is near the center of the county, surrounded by the Town of Batavia, which is a separate municipality. Richard Paul Reilly (born February 3, 1958) is an American sportswriter. Pacific Coast League
The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the Western United States. Along with the International League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The PCL was one of the premier regional baseball leagues in the first half of the 20th century. Although it was never recognized as a true major league, to which it aspired, its quality of play was considered very high. The Salt Lake City Bees was a primary moniker of the minor league baseball teams, based in Salt Lake City, Utah between 1911 and 1970 under various names.
