Values And Ethics Code For The Public Sector
The Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO), formerly Canada Public Service Agency, is the representative of the Government of Canada on all issues relating to human resources, pensions and benefits, labour relations and compensation. In addition it administers the ''Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector'', a document first written in 2003. Organization The office is headed by the Chief Human Resources Officer, who has similar status as the Comptroller General of Canada. While housed under the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS), its operation is independently carried out by the OCHRO and not by TBS staff. Pensions
A pension (; ) is a fund into which amounts are paid regularly during an individual's working career, and from which periodic payments are made to support the person's retirement from work. A pension may be either a "defined benefit plan", where defined periodic payments are made in retirement and the sponsor of the scheme (e.g. the employer) must make further payments into the fund if necessary to support these defined retirement payments, or a "defined contribution plan", under which defined amounts are paid in during working life, and the retirement payments are whatever can be afforded from the fund.
