Vincent Vallières
Vincent Vallières (born August 8, 1978) is a Canadian singer from Sherbrooke. Career Vallières debut album, ''Trente Arpents'', was released in 1999, followed by ''Bordel Ambiant'' in 2001 . He became popular in Quebec in 2003 with the release of his third album, ''Chacun Dans Son Espace''. On August 29, 2006, his fourth album, ''Le Repère Tranquille'', was released, with the first single "Je pars à pied" immediately put into the regular rotations of many Québec radio stations. The second single from the latest album, "Un quart de piasse", is currently receiving airplay. His 2021 album ''Toute beauté n'est pas perdue'' was a Juno Award nominee for Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year, Francophone Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2022. Yvon Vallières
Yvon Vallières (born February 5, 1949) is a retired Canadian politician and teacher. He was a member of National Assembly of Quebec for the Riding (division), riding of Richmond (Quebec provincial electoral district), Richmond in the Estrie region from 1973 to 1976 and from 1981 to 2012. Formerly the Minister (government), Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from 2003 to 2007, he is the current Caucus chair, chair of the Government Caucus. He was a member of the Quebec Liberal Party. Education Vallières went to the Université de Sherbrooke and obtained a bachelor's degree in pedagogy and would teach at several schools from 1970 to 1972 and from 1976 to 1981 while being a councilor at the Commission Scolaire de Taillon in 1972. He also obtained a certificate in psychology human relations. Pierre Vallières
Pierre "PK" Vallières (22 February 1938 – 23 December 1998) was a Canadian journalist and writer, known as an intellectual leader of the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ). He was the author of the essay ''Nègres blancs d'Amérique'', which likened the struggles of French-Canadians to those of African-Americans. Biography Early life Pierre Vallières was born on 22 February 1938, in Montreal, Quebec, into a French-Canadian family. Vallières grew up in Ville Jacques-Cartier (now part of Longueuil) in the South Shore region, considered one of the most deprived areas of the Montreal metropolitan area. He entered the Franciscan Order but left after a couple of years.
