Valletta FC
Valletta F.C. is a professional football club based in Valletta, the capital city of Malta. The club currently competes in the Maltese Challenge League, the second tier of Maltese football, but will compete in the 2025-2026 Maltese Premier League following promotion. The club was founded in 1943 after a merge of Valletta Prestons, Valletta St. Paul's and Valletta United, the latter being a two-time league winner before the Second World War. Considered one of the most supported and successful clubs in Maltese football, the club has won 25 league titles, 14 FA Trophies and a record 13 Super Cups. The Maltese Challenge League (referred to as the Bank of Valletta, BOV Challenge League for sponsorship reasons) is the second-highest division in Football in Malta, Maltese football, behind the Maltese Premier League. The Malta Football Association (MFA; ) is the governing body of football (soccer), football in Malta. The Association organises the Maltese Football League for both men and women and several other competitions, including knockout competitions for the top teams for both genders. The Malta national football team, men's national team, Malta women's national football team, women's national team, as well as several youth representative teams compete regularly in international competitions organised by UEFA and FIFA. Brandon Diego Paiber (born 5 June 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Valletta. Born in Argentina, he plays for the Malta national team. Andrei Cosmin Ciolacu (born 9 August 1992) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Maltese Challenge League club Valletta. Career In January 2016, Ciolacu signed a contract with ASA Târgu Mureș. Midway through 2017, Ciolacu signed for Singaporean club Warriors, integrating quickly into the team. Balzan F
Balzan () is a municipality in the Northern Region of Malta, and together with Attard and Lija, forms part of the "Three Villages" (). The village originally consisted of a group of small dwellings and farms but eventually grew, becoming a parish in the 17th century. As of 2022, the town registered a population of 4,821 inhabitants. The 2023–24 Maltese Premier League was the 109th season of top-flight league football in Malta. The season began on 15 September 2023 and ended in April 2024. The season saw the relegation of Valletta, one of the most historic teams in Maltese football, for the first time in their history while bearing this name. Birkirkara (abbreviated as B'Kara or BKR) is a city in the Eastern Region of Malta. It is the second most populous on the island, with 24,356 inhabitants as of 2020.
