Valentine Phoenix FC
Valentine FC is a semi-professional football club based in Valentine in the Hunter Region, New South Wales and is part of the Valentine Eleebana Football Club. Valentine have been promoted to the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW for 2016 with teams in First Grade, Under 23s, Under 19 and Under 17 divisions. Notable former players include Adam Griffiths, Giancarlo Gallifuoco and Daniel Bowles. History Since 1994, Valentine Eleebana FC and Belmont FC have worked closely together to provide a "pathway" for our Junior Players to the highest possible levels of local football. Our jointly owned senior club was Belmont Tingira Soccer Club which played in the 2nd Division from 1994. At the end of the 2005 season, Belmont FC relinquished their ownership of Belmont Tingira which continued in the NEWFM League as part of VEFC, playing under the name Valentine Belmont FC. The National Premier Leagues Northern NSW (NPL NNSW) is a semi-professional soccer competition in Northern New South Wales. The competition is conducted by Northern NSW Football, one of two organizing bodies in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues NSW organized by Football NSW). The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues (NPL), which sits below the national A-League. Prior to 2014, the league was known as the Northern NSW State Football League (1998-2013) and Northern First Division (1959-1997). Adam Griffiths
Adam Griffiths (born 21 August 1979 in Sydney) is an Australian professional football manager who currently serves as the Assistant Coach of Wellington Phoenix FC. He is a former professional football (soccer) player and Socceroo. In 2020 he became Head Coach of National Premiere Leagues NSW side Manly United. In 2022 he transformed Manly United FC into a dynamic, attacking team that reached the 2021/22 NPL Grand Final, earning him recognition as NPL Coach of the Year. Adam was awarded Coach of the year 2022 at the Football NSW Gold Medal Awards. In July 2022 he was appointed to the A- League as Assistant Coach under Mark Rudan at The Western Sydney Wanderers. Giancarlo Gallifuoco
Giancarlo Gallifuoco (born 12 January 1994) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Malaysia Super League club Kuala Lumpur City. Club career Tottenham Hotspur Gallifuoco signed a -year deal with Tottenham Hotspur in February 2012. In his first season with the club he became a regular in the Tottenham under-21 side, alongside fellow Australian Massimo Luongo. Daniel Bowles (born 19 October 1991) is a retired A-League Australian professional soccer player. Club career Early career Bowles played all of his junior football in Toowoomba, initially with St Albans Football Club followed by the South Toowoomba Hawks and made his senior debut at 15 with the Toowoomba Raiders who play in the Brisbane Premier League (BPL). Northern League One
Northern League One is a semi-professional soccer competition in Northern New South Wales. The competition is conducted by Northern NSW Football, one of two organising bodies in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues NSW organised by Football NSW). The league sits at Level 2 on the Northern New South Wales league system (Level 3 of the overall Australian league system). The league was formally known as the Northern Second Division (1959-1997) and subsequently the Northern First Division (1998-2013). Format The competition consists of 10 teams, who each have a First grade and Reserve grade team. The 2015 Northern NSW Football season was the second season under the new competition format in northern New South Wales. The competition consisted of six divisions across the district. Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is the governing federation for soccer in northern New South Wales, Australia. It is a Federation Member of the national governing body, Football Australia (FA).
