Dacia Soraya Valent (12 February 1963 – 22 January 2015) was a Somali-born Italian politician and former Member of the European Parliament. Biography Dacia Valent was born in Mogadishu to an Italian father and a Somali mother. She traveled extensively around the world during her youth and moved permanently to Udine, in Northern Italy, in 1980. In 1985, while she lived in Udine, her 16-year-old brother Giacomo was stabbed to death as the result of a fight with two classmates. She lived in Rome at the time of his death. After an unsuccessful period as an Engineering student and after the breakup of her marriage (during which she gave birth to two children), she joined the Polizia di Stato and was initially assigned to a police station in Milan. Dmitry 'Black Valet' Valent (born 13 April 1988 in Minsk, Belarus) is a Belarusian Muay Thai middleweight/super middleweight kickboxer. He is the former WKN Middleweight Oriental rules and Muay thai champion, former WMC Light Heavyweight champion, two time WMC I-1 World Muaythai Grand Slam champion and two time Kunlun Fight 80kg tournament runner-up. Dmitry is one of Belarus's top fighters. Eric Christian Valent (born April 4, 1977), is an American former professional baseball outfielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Mets. Valent is currently the National Cross Checker in the Miami Marlins organization. Playing career High school Valent was an All-American at Canyon High School in Anaheim, California. Michal Valent (born 5 March 1986) is a Slovak professional ice hockey goaltender who currently playing for Vlci Žilina of the Slovak 1. Liga. He was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the 5th round (145th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Valent played for BK Mladá Boleslav from the 2010–11 Czech Extraliga season until October 2014.
