Mathieu Valbuena (born 28 September 1984) is a French professional footballer who plays for Super League Greece club Olympiacos. He plays as an attacking midfielder and a winger and is known for his pace, technical ability, and tenacious style of play. He is described by his former coach at Libourne Saint-Seurin, Didier Tholot, as "an explosive player who is capable of quickly taking two opponents out of the game to create space, above all due to his dribbling skills." Due to his small stature, Valbuena is nicknamed ''le petit vélo'', which translates to "the little bike". Valbuena began his career at professional club Bordeaux. Luis Adan Valbuena (November 30, 1985 – December 6, 2018) was a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder. He played eleven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), from 2008 through 2018, for the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels. While primarily a third baseman, Valbuena also played second base and first base. He was killed in a car crash in 2018 in Venezuela caused by bandits in an attempted robbery. Valbuena Abbey ( es, Monasterio de Santa María de Valbuena) is a former Cistercian monastery in Valbuena de Duero in Valladolid Province, Castile-Leon, Spain. It stands on the right bank of the Duero, within sight of the royal castle of Peñafiel. History The monastery was founded in 1143 by Estefanía, daughter of Count Ermengol V of Urgell, and settled from Berdoues Abbey in France, of the filiation of Morimond. The first two abbots were Martin and Ebrardo. Ángel Valbuena Prat (16 May 1900 – 2 January 1977) was a Spanish philologist and historian. Biography Born in Barcelona, he studied at the University of Barcelona, and later became an assistant professor at the Central University of Madrid. His doctoral thesis, ''Los Autos Sacramentales de Calderón'', earned him various awards. After a tour of various university centers ( La Laguna, Puerto Rico, Barcelona, Cambridge), finally, perhaps as a punishment for his political attitudes of Catalan regionalist nature, he was transferred to the University of Murcia, where he remained for more than twenty five years. Valbuena de Duero is a municipality located in the province of Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census ( INE), the municipality has a population of 502 inhabitants. José Luis Valbuena (born March 19, 1971 in Turmero, Aragua) is a former bantamweight boxer from Venezuela, who had a total number of 30 professional fights during his career.
