Vaikom Viswan
Vaikom Viswan is a politician from the State of Kerala in India. He was the Convener of Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala and member of the Central Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM). Early life He was born on 28 October 1939 in Vadayar village, Bhoothapuyam Amsham of Thalayolaparambu Panchayath, Vaikom in Kottayam district, in an ordinary family to Padmanabhan Nair and Karthyayani Amma. He is married to Prof. Geetha and has two children-Nisha and Naveen. Political career Vaikom Viswan entered politics as an activist of Student Federation (SF), which is the precursor of Students' Federation of India (SFI). He has joined the Communist Party of India in 1957. He was President and then Secretary of the Kerala Students' Federation (KSF) and also served as the president of Kerala State Youth Federation (KSYF). Vadayar
Vadayar is a village in Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India. '' Vadayar Ilamkavu Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess ''Bhagavathy'' or Devi in a fierce form is located here, which about 9 km away from Vaikom on the bank of River Vadayar, a distributary of Muvattupuzha river. Two main festivals are held here. One is the flag hosting festival held in the month of February that lasts for eight days (February). Other is the famous 2 day Elamkavu Attuvela Mahotsavam (water carnival ), observed in Malayalam Meenammonth (March-April) which is a unique festival celebration through the river water. Ettumanoor
Ettumanoor, sometimes spelled Ettumanur, is a major town and municipality in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India, located 11 kilometers north-east of Kottayam city, 50 kilometers south of Cochin, and 70 kilometers south of Cochin International Airport. The SH-1 popularly known as the Main Central (MC) Road, passes through Ettumanoor, and is a major connecting link between Pala and beyond, to the Western Ghats and to the commercial capital of Kerala - Kochi.
