Vadims Žuļevs
Vadims Žuļevs (born 1 March 1988) is a Latvian former Association football, footballer. Club career As a youth player Žuļevs played in his home-town Brocēni, signing his first professional contract in 2006 with FK Daugava Daugavpils. Žuļevs played there for 2 years until 2008, making 24 league appearances and scoring no goals. In 2008, he left, signing with FSK Daugava 90, FK Daugava Riga. During 1 season there he played 13 matches, scoring 1 goal. In 2009, he went on trial with Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Lombard-Pápa TFC in Hungary and signed a contract with them, leaving Latvian Higher League. All over 3 seasons Žuļevs played 28 games for the Hungarian side. He left in 2012, joining FC Jūrmala in the Latvian Higher League. Žuļevs played 28 matches and scored 2 goals for Jūrmala in the 2012 season, finishing in the sixth place of the league table. In February 2013 he joined the Latvian Higher League club FK Jelgava. Brocēni
Brocēni (; ) is a town in Saldus Municipality (2021–present), Saldus Municipality in the Courland region of Latvia. The town is situated along the river Ciecere, near lake Cieceres, which contains a large deposit of limestone that is used in the manufacturing of cement. From 2009 to 2021, the town was the center of Brocēni Municipality. A Portland cement and slate factory, currently the only one in Latvia, was built from 1936 to 1938 by the Riga-based ''A/S Ch. Schmit'' cement factory of H. H. Šmits. The initial capacity was 60 thousand tons of cement per year. The Latvian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Latvian football. Since 2021, its full name is Responsible Gaming Latvian Football Cup (''Atbildīgas spēles Latvijas kauss'') due to the sponsorship by sports betting company William Hill. The tournament was launched in 1937, replacing the previous knockout tournament – the Riga Football Cup. The competition is a knockout (single elimination) tournament. From 1937 to 2008 and again since 2017, all of the games of the tournament are played within the calendar year.
