Vaare Vah
''Vaare Vah'' () is a 2010 Indian Kannada-language comedy drama film directed by Vijayalakshmi Singh and produced by her husband Jai Jagadish. The film stars Komal (actor), Komal and Bhavana Rao with Umashree, Flora Saini, Mayuri and Padmaja Rao in supporting roles. The film is a remake of the Marathi film ''Aga Bai Arrecha!'' (2004), which itself was based on ''What Women Want'' (2000). The film was a box office success. Cast Production The film notably featured forty-five women aged five to sixty in supporting roles. This is Bhavana Rao's second film after ''Gaalipata'' (2008). The film gained pre-release buzz when Komal dressed as an ardhanarishvara (Shiva half-male and half-female) in posters. According to the director, he did so because his character understands women more and more as the film progresses. Soundtrack The music was composed by Avinash-Vishwajeeth. Vijayalakshmi Singh
Vijayalakshmi Singh is an Indian actress, director, costume designer and producer in Kannada. She has acted in many Kannada films and is actively involved in television projects. Early life Vijayalakshmi was born in Mysore to film personalities D. Shankar Singh and Prathima Devi. Film director Rajendra Singh Babu is her elder brother. Career Vijayalakshmi debuted as heroine in 1981 and went on to star opposite top Kannada actors of the time like Vishnuvardhan, Anant Nag, Ravichandran, Jai Jagadish and Ramakrishna. She worked with several top directors of the time including Puttanna Kanagal, K. Balachander, Geethapriya, K. S. L. Swamy and Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar. Vijayalakshmi wears many hats. Prathap (also known as ''Kuri'' Prathap) is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. He made his debut in the movie '' Sixer'' (2007), and went on to cast in many commercial films. Vijay Yesudas (born 23 March 1979) is an Indian playback singer and actor. He has sung over 1000 film songs. Shankar Mahadevan (born 3 March 1967) is an Indian singer and composer who is part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio that writes music for Indian films. In 2023, he was awarded an honorary doctorate (''honoris causa'' degree) by Birmingham City University.
