V Sport Motor is a Swedish motorsport channel that launched on 17 October 2008. Events broadcast on the channel include Formula One, NASCAR, IndyCar, GP2, WRC, European Rallycross Championship, Formula 1 boat, Offshore Class 1, 24 hours of Nürburgring and MotoGP. Atle Gulbrandsen (born 15 September 1979 in Hamar, Norway) is a racing driver and television announcer. Racing career Gulbrandsen started with karting in Norway in 1992, and drove some other junior series before he did the Skip Barber Southern Series in the USA in 2003/2004, finishing fourth. Since 2005 he has participated in the German VLN Endurance Series at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with several victories for the Norwegian Audi Dealer Team. In 2022 and 2023 Gulbrandsen and his team won the TCR-class in the championship. In 2007 he also became the Norwegian Seven Racing Champion, and in 2021 he did a race in the Norwegian GT Championship with a Lamborghini GT3. Lars Eje Elgh (born 15 June 1953) is a Swedish racing driver and television reporter. He currently works as an expert commentator for Formula One in Sweden together with Janne Blomqvist. The two have worked together as Formula One commentators for a long time, first for TV4 and then for Viasat Motor when they took over the Formula One broadcasting in Sweden. The European Rallycross Championship (former abbreviation ERC, now Euro RX or ERX) is a rallycross competition held in Europe, organised under the auspices of the FIA. History The predecessor championship began in 1973 as the Embassy/ERA European Rallycross Championship. The World Rally Championship (abbreviated as WRC) is an international rallying series owned and governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA. Inaugurated in 1973, it is the oldest FIA world championship after Formula One. Each season lasts one calendar year, and typically consists of 13 three- to four-day rally events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. GP2 Series
The GP2 Series was a form of open wheel motor racing introduced in 2005 following the discontinuation of the long-term Formula One feeder series, Formula 3000. The GP2 format was conceived by Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, while Ecclestone also has the rights to the name GP1. The series was organized by Bruno Michel. In 2010, the GP3 Series class was launched, as a feeder class for the GP2 series. In 2017, the series was rebranded as the FIA Formula 2 Championship.
