UzAuto
UzAuto Motors (formerly GM Uzbekistan) is an automotive manufacturer owned by the Government of Uzbekistan. It is based in Asaka, Uzbekistan. It manufactures vehicles under the Chevrolet marque. Formerly UzAuto Motors had also manufactured vehicles under the Ravon marque, which is Uzbek for calm and straight road or easy journey. It was formerly partly owned by General Motors and, in 2019, it was acquired by the Uzbekistan government and renamed "UzAuto Motors". By February 2023, the company completed an IPO on the Tashkent Stock Exchange. History The company was founded in 1992 between the Uzbek state-owned UzAvtosanoat and the South Korea-based Daewoo, and was initially known as "Uz-DaewooAuto" ( Uzbek: ). Bo Inge Andersson (born 16 October 1955) is a Swedish businessman, and former officer and diplomat. Bo Andersson is currently Senior Advisor for Sanoh Industrial Ltd (Tokyo). He also founded Ivanhoe IV, an investment company where he is president. Previously, Bo Andersson's career included roles at Saab Automobile, General Motors, GAZ Group. Asaka, Uzbekistan
Asaka (; ) is a city and the administrative center of Asaka District in eastern Uzbekistan, located in the southeastern edge of the Fergana Valley near Uzbekistan's border with Kyrgyzstan. Asaka underwent rapid industrialization during the Soviet era. Currently, it is the second biggest industrial city in Andijan Region, the first being Andijan.
