Utica Community Schools
Utica Community Schools (UCS) is a public school district located in Macomb County, Michigan in the Metropolitan Detroit area. UCS serves the city of Utica, the majority of Shelby Township, the northern portion of Sterling Heights, and parts of Ray, Washington, and Macomb townships. UCS is the second-largest school district in the state of Michigan. Schools Transportation Utica Community Schools employs 250 transportation personnel, and 12 district mechanics to service the school district's fleet of 250 district-owned school buses, as well as 75 other district-owned vehicles. The UCS Transportation Department is responsible for transporting students to and from school, as well as providing transportation for over 3,000 annual off-site learning experiences. Sterling Heights is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northern suburb of Detroit, Sterling Heights is located roughly north of downtown Detroit. Washington Charter Township, located within Metro Detroit, is a charter township of Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 28,165 at the 2020 census, up from 25,139 in 2010. History Washington Township was organized in 1827. It is home to the historic Octagon House, built by Loren Andrus from 1858 to 1860. The Dean V is a model of electric electric guitar, guitar and bass guitar, bass released by Dean Guitars in 1977. It forms part of Dean's classic line of guitars along with the Dean ML, Dean Cadillac and Dean Z. Utica High School, known locally as UHS, is one of four public high schools in the Utica Community School District, located in the metro Detroit region. History The forerunner of Utica High School, the Utica Union School, opened in 1860. It was renamed ''Utica High School'' in 1900. Henry Ford II High School is a public high school located in the Metropolitan Detroit region in the city of Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States. It is a part of Utica Community Schools. In 2004 Ford was recognized as a Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School. History This school is named after Henry Ford II, the executive officer of the Ford Motor Co. He was also a member of the New Detroit, Inc., Detroit Renaissance and a former chairman of the National Alliance of Businessmen. Ground was broken for HFII in 1971.
