Ususan
Ususan is one of the 38 barangays of Taguig, Philippines. As of 2020, it has a population of 53,956 people. Etymology Ususan is Tagalog as the barangay is shaped like the letter “U” formed by the Taguig River. Historically, wood from the forest of Ususan and areas now part of Fort Bonifacio were transported along the riverbanks, earning it the moniker "Us-usan ng Kahoy" or "slide." The old name of Ususan was Maysapang. History Ususan is one of the original villages or barrios of Taguig when it was established as a pueblo (town) under the Provincia de Tondo in 1587. During the Spanish government reign in Taguig, men from this barrio were forced to be part of the Polo y Servico. Taguig–Pateros's 1st Congressional District
Taguig–Pateros's 1st congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the combined independent local government units of Pateros and Taguig. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2007. The district was created in 2004 following a plebiscite to ratify Republic Act No. 8487 or the 1998 Taguig City Charter. Post Proper Southside
Post Proper Southside, also known as Post Proper South Fort Bonifacio, Barangay 31, or simply Southside, is one of the 38 barangays of Taguig, Philippines. It is one of the ten Embo barangays, and one of the two Inner Fort Bonifacio barangays, the other one being the Post Proper Northside. It was established in 1972 as a settlement inside the Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation, and its territory is disputed with barangays Fort Bonifacio ( Bonifacio Capital District, Bonifacio Global City and McKinley Hill), Pinagsama (G2 Village, ISG Village, Palar Village, Panam Village, and Uppper West Village), and Ususan (Wildcat Village). The Enlisted Men's Barrio, commonly known as Embo (stylized in all caps as EMBO), is a collective term for ten barangays in Taguig, Philippines. It is made up of barangays Cembo, Comembo, East Rembo, Pembo, Pitogo, Rizal, South Cembo and West Rembo, as well as the two Inner Fort barangays: Post Proper Northside and Post Proper Southside. Bonifacio Global City, also known as BGC, Global City, or The Fort, is a 240-hectare mixed-use estate and central business district located in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Philippines. Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), informally known as the C-5 Road, is a network of roads and bridges which comprise the fifth beltway of Metro Manila in the Philippines. Spanning some , it connects the cities of Las Piñas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, Taguig, and Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Valenzuela. Manila American Cemetery
The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial is a military cemetery located in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. It can be reached most easily from the city via EDSA to McKinley Road, then to McKinley Parkway inside the Bonifacio Global City. The Lawton Avenue, formerly the Nichols Field Road, is the easiest access from Ninoy Aquino International Airport to the cemetery. It falls under the jurisdiction of Barangay Fort Bonifacio, having been previously part of Barangay Ususan prior to Fort Bonifacio's creation in 2008.
