"Uso" (嘘, lie) is a single by Japanese rock and visual kei band SID, released on April 29, 2009, by Ki/oon Records. It is used as the first ending theme of '' Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'', and often considered the band's most successful song. It was included on the studio album ''Hikari'' and on ''Sid 10th Anniversary Best'' (which debuted at #1 on Oricon) and ''SID Anime Best 2008-2017'' compilations. CD Journal website described the song as sentimental, nostalgic and melancholic and Natalie related it as "sad and beautiful". Sid (band)
(stylized in all caps when romanized) is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in 2003 and signed to Ki/oon Records. Formed by Mao, Shinji, Aki and Yūya, they are known for producing anime songs, such as for ''Fullmetal Alchemist'', ''Bleach'', '' Black Butler'', and ''Magi''. Their first album, '' Renai'', was produced with Sakura (ex. L'Arc~en~Ciel). After reaching Oricon chart top 5 for the first time with " Mitsuyubi" (2007), Sid made their major label debut in 2008 with " Monochrome no Kiss" and the gold disc '' Hikari'', which includes one of their most famous songs "Uso". Nippon Budokan
The , often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. It was originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics. Mao (singer)
is a Japanese singer, known for being the lead singer of visual kei rock band SID and writer of all the lyrics. SID became popular in Japan in mid-2010 with the album ''Hikari'', which includes the anime songs " Monochrome no Kiss" and "Uso" with lyrics written by Mao. He began a solo career in 2016 using the name Mao from SID, debuting at the top 10 of Oricon charts. On July 3, 2021, he was appointed ambassador of his hometown, Kurume. Career 1995–2008: Early years and SID Mao joined his first band in high school and moved to Tokyo with the group. After creating a band called Dildo around 1995, he formed Shula in 1999. The band had three members (vocalist, guitarist and bassist) and had a pop-oriented musical style and visual kei costumes.
