Usko Meriläinen
Usko Aatos Meriläinen (27 January 1930 – 12 November 2004) was a Finnish composer. He was born in Tampere. Usko Meriläinen studied orchestral conducting with Leo Funtek and composition with Aarre Merikanto at the Sibelius Academy. Meriläinen conducted the Finnish Opera Choir from 1954 to1956, the Kuopio City Orchestra from 1956 to 1957, and the Tampere Workers' Theater Orchestra from 1957 to 1961. He was chairman of the Finnish Composers' Association from 1981 to 1992 and served as artistic advisor of the Tampere Biennale. Usko Nghaamwa
Usko Nghihepavali Nghaamwa (born 18th January 1944) is a Namibian businessman, politician, and philanthropist. He was born in Oipapakane village in the Ohangwena Region. Nghaamwa is a member of SWAPO. Political career Nghaamwa was first elected councillor of Ohangwena Constituency. In the 2004 regional election he received 6,194 of the 6,243 votes cast. In 2005 he was appointed governor of the Ohangwena Region. He held the position until 2020. In December 2022, Nghaamwa was elected to the SWAPO Party Central Committee. Philanthropy Nghaamwa is well known in the North of Namibia where he has donated to communities by giving school infrastructure, food to the needy, scholarships, plus flood and drought aid. Usko Nyström
Zachris Usko Nyström, known as Usko Nyström, (6 September 1861 – 6 January 1925) was a Finnish architect and one of the most influential professors of architecture at Helsinki University of Technology; among his students were later notable architects Eliel Saarinen and Alvar Aalto. One of the pioneering architects of the early Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style in Finland at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, he continued to influence generations of students by introducing them to the style. Many of his key architectural works were made while he was in the architectural partnership Usko Nyström─Petrelius─Penttilä which operated from 1895 to 1908. Usko Volmar Abel Santavuori (16 January 1922, in Viipuri – 1 June 2003, in Espoo) was a Finnish sensationalist radio reporter. He achieved fame by groundbreaking programs where he took himself and the microphone to participate in various extraordinary events, such as diving and parachuting, instead of remaining a passive observer. Santavuori's most significant feat was his early reality show in 1950, where he committed a fake burglary, and was arrested by the police, who had no idea of that the criminal they'd come to arrest was a journalist and everything they said was being recorded and later broadcast. The only official who was notified of the event in advance was the chief of police, who had given his blessing. Santavuori's program aroused discussion due to the violence and uncouth language used by the arresting officers.
