Ursus A
Ursus A was a series of Polish lorries and buses produced by Ursus. It was a license-built modification of the Italian SPA 25C Polonia trucks. In 1924 the Polish government ordered a large series of license-built, 3-ton Berliet CBA lorries and 1.5-ton SPA 25C Polonia trucks. Ursus was to deliver 1050 trucks in three batches of 200 Berliets and 150 SPAs each. The first batch was to be imported from France and Italy, the second locally assembled from imported parts, while the final batch was to be produced locally in Poland. The company started building a new factory in Czechowice near Warsaw to accommodate the new production lines, but construction was slow. Berliet CBA
The Berliet CBA is a series of medium-duty trucks with chain drive, initially for the military and later also for commercial use. It was produced by the French manufacturer Berliet from 1913 to 1932, and was one of the most used trucks in World War I. It was replaced by the Berliet GD series. History and technical details World War I The first CBA vehicles, built in 1913, were fitted with an inline four petrol engine (codenamed L) with a bore of 100 mm and a stroke of 140 mm, giving a displacement of 4,398 cm3. Polski Fiat 621 was a Polish 2.5-tonne truck, the basic lorry of the Polish Army during the 1930s. It was built under an agreement between Fiat and PZInż. The Polish version of the Fiat 621 was heavily modified to better suit Polish needs and cope with the harsh weather and bad roads in Poland.
