Urgell (), also known as ''Baix Urgell'' (''baix'' meaning "lower", by contrast with Alt Urgell "Upper Urgell"), is a ''comarca'' (county) in Ponent, Catalonia (Spain), forming only a borderland portion of the region historically known as Urgell, one of the Catalan counties. The comarques of Catalonia (singular ''comarca'', , ), often referred to in English as counties, are an Subdivisions of Catalonia, administrative division of Catalonia. Agramunt
Agramunt () is a municipality (''municipi'') in the ''comarca'' of the Urgell in Catalonia. It is situated in the north of the ''comarca'', near the border with the Noguera. It has a population of . The town centre is protected as a historic-artistic monument, especially the Roman church of Santa Maria which dates from the 12th-13th centuries. The town is also known for the production of '' torró d'Agramunt'', a sort of confectionery traditionally eaten at Christmas. The town is linked to Tàrrega by the C-240 road, to Cervera by the L-303 road and to Artesa de Segre by the L-302 road. Ciutadilla () is a village and municipality in the comarca of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of . The village, the only settlement in the municipality, is situated on a hill close to where the Montblanc-to-Tàrrega highway crosses the Corb river. Verdú () is a village and municipality in the province of Lleida, in Catalonia, Spain. A ''vegueria'' (), plural ', is the highest-level Subdivisions of Catalonia, regional division of Catalonia. Bellpuig () is a town in the ''comarca'' (county) of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. Nowadays Bellpuig is the third-most-important town in the area of Urgell. The town, located between the three little hills appearing on the flag, is served by Bellpuig railway station. It has a population of .
