Urban Transport Authority
The Urban Transport Authority for Lima and Callao (; ATU) is a specialised technical organisation of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. Its main function is to integrate and articulate urban public transportation in the Lima metropolitan area. Organised transport systems such as the Lima Metro and the Metropolitano are dependent on the ATU. The Lima Metropolitan Area (, also known as ''Lima Metropolitana'') is an area formed by the conurbation of the Peruvian provinces of Lima (the nation's capital) and Callao.Lima Metropolitana is formed by the Province of Lima and the Constitutional Province of Callao in accordance with D.S. Susana María del Carmen Villarán de la Puente is a left politician in Peru, a former presidential candidate, and in municipal elections in 2010 became the first woman to be elected Mayor of Lima. She is vice president of the Decentralist Social Force Party (', FS) and formerly worked as a journalist and a secondary school teacher. Personal life Born in Lima on 16 August 1949. Public transport in Lima consists of Bus, buses, Minibus, minibuses (known as ''micros''), Taxi, taxis, and mototaxis (tuk-tuk). ''Micros'' are the most common means of public transportation in Lima and many other cities in Peru. There are also more than of Cycle path, cycle paths in the city. The word ''micro'' is commonly used in Peruvian Spanish as an abbreviation for ''microbús'' (minibus). While bigger vehicles are known as ''micros'', smaller vehicles are known as either ''combis'' or ''micros''. Pedro Pablo Kuczynski Godard (; born 3 October 1938), also known simply as PPK (), is a Peruvian economist, public administrator, and former politician who served as the 59th President of Peru from 2016 to 2018.
